Efficient and energy-saving AMD Ryzen (Zen 2) processor for socket AM4. The Ryzen 7 3700X model is equipped with 8 cores / 16 threads - they work at 3.6 GHz by default, and in Boost mode they can increase to 4.4 GHz. In addition, an unlocked multiplier and the ability to self-adjust the clocks. The system has 36 MB of L3 cache and a dual-channel DDR4 RAM controller with a native clock frequency of 3200 MHz. TDP is estimated at 65 W (included with the processor is a Wraith Prism cooler with RGB LED backlight).

The third generation of AMD Ryzen processors turned out to be an important step forward in the development of Zen architecture, bringing several key modifications to improve virtually all the weaknesses of its predecessors. The Zen 2 architecture looks really good overall. The outstanding performance of the Ryzen 7 3700X noted in utility applications should come as no surprise, as even previous iterations fared quite well here. Currently, Ryzen is catching up with Intel's top units, even taking the leading position in professional applications. Above all, however, a gigantic improvement in performance in computer games was made, which although it did't allow Intel to match in all tested titles, although the results at the Core i7-8700K and Core i7-9700K levels are highly satisfactory. Everything of course, with a clock speed lower by several hundred MHz - even 600 MHz. It turns out that the AMD Zen 2 architecture is dangerously close to Intel Coffee Lake. AMD actually made a solid CPU upgrade, delivering the promised 15% performance boost over predecessors, thanks to design changes and a twofold increase in the L3 cache (36MB), very important in PC gaming, It's one of the best CPU for 390 dollars.

PROS

- very good performance in multithreaded applications,

- good performance in 1-thread applications,

- PCI-Express 4.0 support,

- compatibility with the AM4 platform,

- low power consumption in relation to efficiency,

- good performance in games and low-threaded applications
